A pair of medals to the same member of the Order of St John
The first is a St John Ambulance Brigade Coronation medal for the 1911 coronation of King George V.It features the bust of the king .The reverse has an imperial crown with an ornate surround.The ribbon is rather worn. Named to Cpl T Alvin.
The second is a silver service medal for the Order of St John.Featuring an image of Queen Victoria since its inception in 1898.Awarded ,originally for 15 years service, extra bars were added in 1911 for addition periods of Five years.This medal has three denoting at least thirty years of service.Original ribbon is rather dirty and distressed. Engraved at the rim for 1514 Cpl T Alvin . Neptune Div: H&B Ry:Hull Corps:No 6 Dist SJAB 1919.
