A base metal and enamel community nurses badge for the Gloucestershire Nursing Association.The association was in operation from 1906 to 1947 so I believe this badge dates to the early 1940s.It features a shield bearing the arms of the City of Gloucester in a voided centre with the title around the edge and with the latin motto Propter Me-On Account of Me.Slight enamel loss to the edge near the OU of Gloucester.Pin and clasp in situ, although it also has a suspension loop for a bar or ribbon fixing.Makers name for J R Gaunt London

A rather nice silver gilt and enamel nurses badge from the East Kent Community NHS Trust.I believe this to be a long service item rather than for training as such.It bears the "Canterbury" cross with the organisation title around the edge.In excellent condition, the pin clasp and safety roller catch are all good.I am unable to read the maker on the hallmark but it is marked for Birmingham 2003.It is engraved for Becky Staples 1981-2003.Height 32mm
