Princess Christian Hospital Weymouth Silver Nurses Badge

A Nice cased example of a Nurses qualification badge from the Princess Christian Hospital in Weymouth.On its original ribbon and suspension bar the medal features an eight pointed cross bearing a thistle and the motto Charity Never Faileth. A shamrock is in each of the corners of the cross.The suspension bar bears the title Princes Christian Hospital.In it's original wooden lined case,with the makers mark P Vaughton & Sons Gothic Works Birmingham.There is some surface wear to the thistle but otherwise in very good condition.Marked to the rear Annie C Backhouse April 19th 1904-April 19th 1907 it bears Birmingham hallmarks for 1905.A rare and collectable item.
