A silver and enamel Badge for Hill End Mental Hospital at St. Albans.Opened as Hertfordshire County Asylum in 1899,the hospital closed it's doors in 1995.The badge features Pandora who having loosed the box of evils onto the world is left with hope.The badge is in good condition with pin and safety clasp intact.It is hallmarked for 1968 with makers mark for Toye Kenning & Spencer.A rare badge.Height 27mm.
