St Andrew's Hospital Billericay Silver Nurses badge

A Silver and Enamel Badge for St Andrew's Hospital Billericay.It is of a two part construction with the figure with doves being applied in relief to the stunning Blue enamel background.The enamel on his design of badge often sustained damage but under a magnifying glass I can find only one small scratch and a firing pinhole.There were several different versions of the suspension bar for the different hospitals within the group and this one is for St Andrew's Hospital Billericay. This was based in the old workhouse buildings prior to its closure in 1998.

This badge really is in excellent condition and dates,I believe, to the 1970s.
