Royal Worcester Figurine,Nursing Sister The London Hospital

A Royal Worcester Figurine from a series of Four featuring Nursing Sisters of English Hospitals. These were modelled by Ruth Van Ruyckevelt in the late 1950s and early 1960s in a limited edition of 500 of each figure. This example is 260/500 of the Nursing Sister from the London Hospital.It features a seated Sister in a chair adorned with the Hospital badge to the rear.It is approximately 6 and a half inches inches tall with plinth and portrays a Sister in light blue uniform with Leg of Mutton Sleeves,complete with Nurses badge and pleated cap with tails,she is holding a book.
It comes in its original box with certificate,Condition is excellent.
These figurines are increasingly rare and sought after,particularly in their original boxes with certificates.
