Black Notley Hospital Braintree Nurses Badge

A chrome and enamel nurses badge from Black Notley Hospital in Braintree Essex.Originally a Sanatorium,the hospital expanded and was designated an emergency hospital during World War 2.It was accepted as a training school for Nurses in 1949 and this badge will date from the 1950s or early 60s(The Hospital dropped Black from it's title in 1964 to aid recruitment ,but took back it's original name in 1974)
In good clean condition with pin ,catch and safety roller in good condition.Makers mark Thomas Fattorini Ltd Regent Street Birmingham,Height 32mm
