Severalls Mental Hospital Colchester,Silver Nurses badge

A nice example of the early pattern badge from Severalls Mental Hospital Colchester from the 1930s.The Hospital closed in the 1990s and has left derelict for many years,the site now being redeveloped for housing.
The badge is silver and enamel with the face in good condition although there is slight damage to the blue enamel in a couple of places .The pin is intact but the clasp has suffered some damage.The rear is engraved Margaret Ryan 1934-1937. It bears hallmarks for 1935 and makers marks for WHH being William Hair Haseler. Height 30mm
