London County Council North Western Fever Hospital Silver Nurses Badge
Yet Another of these sought after LCC Silver & enamel badges from the 1930s.This is for the North Western Fever Hospital, which was located in Hampstead It was later to come under the Royal Free Hospital as the Lawn Road Branch;See http://ezitis.myzen.co.uk/hampsteadfever.html
The badge features the LCC crest upon a silver roundel within a blue enamelled cross.Unlike many of these badges the enamel remains intact however there are a number of surface scratches as pictured. The LCC Crest is loose allowing it to move on it's central mounting pin.The pin and safety catch are intact and the badge carries hallmarks for 1931 and makers marks for Fattorini & Sons,Scratched into the rear of the badge I can just make out JMS,presumably the recipient.Height 30mm
