Southampton Eye Hospital Silver Nurses Badge

A rare Silver nurses badge from the Southampton Eye Hospital.The badge is shaped in the form of a Rose,the emblem of Hampshire,it's design is based upon the rose for Hampshire,the eagle for good sight,the water of the Solent and the sea,and the drops of blood signifying surgery.The first badges were awarded in 1974 and this one is hallmarked for 1974.Pin and clasp intact .Condition Good with one small chip to white enamel in top flower segment.Height 30mm
