Wembley Hospital Silver Nurses Badge

A silver and enamel nurses badge from Wembley Hospital awarded during the second world war.The design features two crossed Seaxes(notched swords)within a Saxon crown are taken from the arms of Wembley.Below these are the motto Tempori Parendum-We Must Move With the Times. Face in good condition,rear pin intact but the badge is missing its safety roller catch.Engraved to A.K. Lewis 9.2.44. Makers mark for Fattorini & Sons,silver hallmark for 1940.Height 38mm
