Whips Cross Hospital Silver Nurses Badge

A scarce silver and enamel Nurses pendant badge from Whipps Cross Hospital dating from the 1950s.It consists of a blue enamelled pin back suspension bar bearing the Hospital name,(pin, clasp and safety roller catch all in good order).From this is suspended a cross with a central roundel bearing a blue shield with the WCH initials intertwined.This is surrounded by the motto Semper Ad Coelum-Always to the Heavens.
To the rear it is engraved to K Geraghty 1951 and bears hallmarks for 1950.Makers marks for Fattorini & Sons.Drop length 50mm
