Wimbledon Hospital Silver Nurses Badge

A nice example of a silver and enamel Nurses badge for Wimbledon Hospital.It's design features the black double headed eagle from the arms of the Borough(this stems from the legend that Julius Caesar made camp upon the Common) .It bears the motto Sine Labe Decus-Honor without Stain.The badge is in Good condition with no enamel damage and minor surface scratches .The pin has been professionally replaced to a high standard.A safety chain loop with chain is also present.Silver hallmarks for JR Gaunt & Sons Dated for 1948.A nice quality piece.Height 29mm
