Western General Hospital Edinburgh Silver Nurses Badge

A silver and enamel pendant badge from the Western General Hospital Edinburgh.The pin back bar suspension bar bears the hospital title with a Thistle motif,the pin and catch are in good condition.The pendant medal features the owl,castle and ship emblems of the Edinburgh City Hospital,over a blue enamelled St Andrews Cross( this has suffered damage leading to enamel loss to several arms).
The rear is engraved 902 M.A.Thompson March 1966.Hallmarked,Edinburgh for K&S( Kenning & Spencer) with year letter k for 1965.
