Solid Silver Birds Belt Buckle

A solid silver Nurses belt buckle from the 1960s.
Taking the form of birds with their wings outstretched.It is fairly typical of the sort of buckle often gifted to new Staff nurses upon qualification throughout the 1960's,70's and 80's.Now largely made redundant by the wearing of tunic tops and trousers or scrubs uniforms rather than dresses,they are still worn and collected.In good clean condition,This one is hallmarked D&F(Deakin & Francis,Birmingham) and year letter for 1962. Weight 75 grammes.
