Nightingale School of Nursing,St Thomas' Hospital,Cased badge

A beautiful and ever desirable silver and enamel nurses badge from the Florence Nightingale School of Nursing of St Thomas' Hospital.Demand for these remains high and I'm afraid the price reflects its original purchase cost.

This badge is in very good condition with enamel intact and only minor surface scratches.The pin and clasp are intact and it is engraved to the rear to Amanda J Norman 1974.Whilst I believe the badge to be made of silver it is not marked as such.It has a mounting ring for a safety chain and one has been added.
This is presented in a leather embossed case from St Thomas' Hospital made by John Pinches of London.This case is an earlier presentation piece which has been married up with this more recent badge.The box is generally very good although there are one or two surface marks and some scuffing to the base
