An enamelled Nurses badge from the Kings Lynn & Wisbech Nurses Training School.The majority of King's Lynn badges feature the shield bearing three dragons with crosses in their mouths.This is based upon the legend of St Margaret of Antioch/St Marina who was faced with a dragon and the cross she was wearing grew so large that she emerged unharmed.
This badge is an amalgamation of the Kings Lynn and Wisbech Hospital and is in excellent condition.Pin,clasp and safety roller catch all good.Makers mark for Thomas Fattorini,Regent Street,Birmingham.Height 29mm
