King's Lynn Hospitals Nurses Badge

An enamelled Nurses badge from the Kings Lynn Hospitals.This is another of King's Lynn badges which feature the shield bearing three dragons with crosses in their mouths.This is based upon the legend of St Margaret of Antioch/St Marina who was faced with a dragon and the cross she was wearing grew so large that she emerged unharmed.
This badge is labelled King's Lynn Hospitals and is in excellent condition.Pin and clasp in good order.Engraved to Mrs Margaret Elizabeth Smith.Makers mark for Thomas Fattorini,Regent Street,Birmingham.Height 26mm
