St Audrey's Hospital Woodbridge,Silver Nurses Badge
A silver and enamel Nurses badge from St Audry's Hospital Melton.It had started out as the Suffolk County Asylum in 1832 and Finally closed it's doors in the early 1990s.This badge features the Three crown emblems of the Kings of East Anglia,as St Audry,who died in 679 AD had been the daughter of King Anna.
The badge has some surface scratches and two small enamel dings near the edges but otherwise good overall.Pin,clasp and safety roller catch all good.Makers marks for Thomas Fattorini Limited Birmingham.Hallmarks for 1953.Height 26mm
