Charing Cross Hospital Nurses Medal
One of the most popular and distinctive of the London Hospitals Nurses badges is the medal of the Charing Cross Hospital,worn at the throat on its ribbon.This is a very nice example consisting of a Brass eight pointed Maltese cross with balls to the tips,all present and Fleur de Lys at the corners.It is named to the rear Ethel Kelly Nov.1909-13.With original silk ribbon in fair but dirty condition but missing suspension bar and pin.Height with ribbon 107mm,height of medal and suspension ring 54mm.A nice early dated example of a Historic Nursing collectable.
