All Hallows Hospital,Ditchingham,Silver Nurses Badge

A small silver and enamel badge from the All Hallows Hospital at Ditchingham in South Norfolk.Set up by Lavinia Cross,daughter of a Norwich surgeon, as a religious community,she applied to the Norfolk & Norwich hospital for sisters to be trained as nurses to work in the hospital.This badge has one small chip to the blue enamel at four o'clock and some surface scratches,the pin and clasp are good.It is marked to the rear 60 and hallmarked for Mn & Wb Birmingham 1926.Height 26mm
