National Heart and Chest Hospitals,National Heart Hospital Nurses Badge

This is one of a number of badges awarded by the National Heart & Chest Hospitals,this one being for a Joint Board of Clinical Nursing Studies (JBCNS) course in cardiac nursing.
The design is of gold-coloured badge with an outer red enamel band which encircles a shield of St George, in each quadrant are representation of the Atropine flower, at the centre of the St George’s cross is a heart. The heart also appears above the helmet is a heart from which three stalks of foxgloves appear.
A scarce badge from my own collection,in good overall condition,pin clasp and safety roller catch all good.Unmarked to rear.Height 37mm
