London County Council,St Stephen's Hospital ,Silver Nurses Badge

Another of the Nurses badges awarded by the London Council Council between 1930 and 1948 for over 100 Hospitals after they took over responsibility for running what had been poor Law Institutions,It features a Blue enamel cross with a white enamel centre upon which is the crest for the LCC.This one is for St Stephen's Hospital, on the Fulham Road Chelsea.This is now the site of the Chelsea & Westminster Hospital.
In very good condition with only one small chip on the lower arm of the cross.Pin,clasp and safety poller catch all good.Unmarked to rear except for hallmark for Fattorini & Sons and 1931.Height 31mm
