London County Council,St John's Hospital ,Silver Nurses Badge

Another of the Nurses badges awarded by the London Council Council between 1930 and 1948 for over 100 Hospitals after they took over responsibility for running what had been poor Law Institutions,It features a Blue enamel cross with a silver centre upon which is the crest for the LCC.This one is for St John's Hospital,St John's Hill Battersea.Originally the Wandsworth and Clapham Union Infirmary,it was to become a hospital for the chronically sick,before eventual closure in 1985.
Condition is very good with no enamel loss other than some scratches.Pin ,clasp and safety roller catch all good.Hallmarked for Fattorini & Son,year letter 1930.Height 30mm
