University College Hospital Nurses League Badge

A silver plated and enamel relief badge for the University College Hospital London Nurses League.One of the many different badges that the League issued,in lieu of an actual school of Nursing Badge for the Hospital.It consists of an enamelled shield in the colours of the Hospital Dark Blue,Light Blue and Brown.This is within a band bearing the title U.C.H.Nurses League above a scroll.There is a pin back but the rear is otherwise unmarked.Some surface scratches to the enamelling and one small chip to the corner.It retains most of the silver plating finish,Height 36mm
