A lovely heavy silver and enamel badge from the Queen Elizabeth Hospital For Children,Hackney Road.Founded in 1867,In 1942 the Hospital amalgamated with the Princess Elizabeth of York Hospital for Children in Glamis Road, Shadwell, to form the Queen Elizabeth Hospital for Children. The design features a Thames barge taken from the badge for the East London Children's Hospital on a rose pattern,crowned with a King's crown.Good condition,pin and clasp good.Silver hallmarks for 1954,makers mark for AR&S(A Roden & Son Hatton Garden) Height 45mm
