A Silver and enamel Nurses League badge from King's College Hospital London.Prior to staff being awarded a "Hospital" badge they could apply for this Nurses league badge. from the 1920s onward.It features the Royal Lion on a crown on a book with a scroll bearing the motto Sancte et Sapienter-With Holiness and with Wisdom.The hospital title is in silver on a green enamel edge.In very good condition with enamel excellent and pin and clasp good.Hallmarked for makers J R Gaunt & Sons with year letter for 1936.Height 30mm
