Hammersmith Hospital ,Nurses badge

A large and impressive base metal and enamel nurses badge from the Hammersmith Hospital.The circular design features an eight pointed Maltese cross on a navy blue enamel background.This has a central motif of two crossed hammers and an anvil in blue enamel.Good condition overall although with some surface scratches.Pin and clasp good.Makers mark for Thomas Fattorini Regent Street Birmingham.
I suspect that this design dates to after 1972 when St Mark's Hospital left the group .
