Morgannwg Mental Hospital,Bridgend silver Nurses badge & GNC Pair

A pair of Badges awarded to the same nurse for her Mental Nurse training at what would have been the Angelton and Parc Gwyllt Mental Hospital in Wales.She trained in 1917 and gained her certificate from the Medico Psychological Association.The first badge however is a silver gilt and enamel badge from the Morgannwg Hospital which is what the asylum became in 1948 and this badge would have been issued to her retrospectively,possibly when the School of Nursing started to issue badges? .It is engraved to the rear U.Donovan 1917 ( this is Urania Donovan nee Morris) and bears hallmarks for Thomas Fattorini,1960.Good condition.Height 26mm
The second badge is a chrome and enamel badge for the General Nursing Council For England & Wales for Registered Mental Nurse Training.It is engraved to the rear U Donovan RMN 12208 31.8.48 with pin clasp and safety chain all good.Once again it appears that she decided to register with the GNC some 30 years after completing her original training!
