Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital,Cased Silver Nurses Prize medal.

A rather splendid and rare Silver Nurses Prize Medal from the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital dating to the 1930s. In it's original wooden presentation case,it looks as though it has hardly ever been worn.
The medal consists of a circle of Laurel leaves within which is a shield in a voided centre inscribed Nurses Examination 1933.this is surrounded by a band bearing the title Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital and topped with an Imperial Crown.This is worn suspended by an original dark blue silk ribbon in excellent condition which has a safety pin fixing at the top.The rear is inscribed Nora Roberts 1933 and is hallmarked for D&F (Deakin & Francis),Birmingham 1933.Height to suspension ring 36mm Drop of medal 85mm.
The medal is presented in its original fitted case with vendors label for Wm.Bruford & Sons Exeter,In good overall condition.
