St Charles' Hospital London Silver Nurses Badge

A Large and impressive silver nurses badge for St Charles' Hospital London.Featuring a design with the Madonna and Child and Madonna lilies,in crisp detail.The Hospital started out as the St Marylebone Union Infirmary being renamed St Charles in 1930 when it came under the control of the London County Council.It's Nurse Training school had been Founded by Florence Nightingale in1884,one of the first in a Poor Law Institution.

This badge is in very good condition.The pin,clasp and safety roller catch are all good.It is hallmarked for London 1969 Makers John Pinches.Height 42mm.
