Paddington Hospital,Silver Nurses Badge
A scarce silver and enamel Nurses badge for Paddington Infirmary,later known as St Mary's Hospital Harrow Road(part of the St Mary's group) The design features the arms of Paddington consisting of two wolves heads and two crossed swords through a mural crown on a blue shield.The hospital title is on a black band to the rim.The reverse is engraved to Ivy I Galloway (Jessie Beatrice Olive Cope-who trained at Paddington Infirmary 1923-1926) Makers mark for John Pinches London.Silver hallmarks for London 1928.Condition generally good but with small chips to the enamel at the right edge.Pin present but loose.Height 27mm
