Essex Area Health Authority Harlow District,Silver Nurses Badge(red)

A Silver and enamel Nurses badge from the Harlow Health District of the Essex Area Health Authority.Established in 1974 under the NHS Reorganisation Act of 1973,it was itself replaced by the later West Essex Health Authority in 1982.This is one of three variants issued for the different branches of Nurse training during that 8 year period.
The design features a pair of hands denoting Caring in front of several bands of colours,in this case red and orange.
Good overall condition with some minor surface scratches.Pin,clasp and safety roller catch all good.Hallmarked for Toye Kenning & Spencer ,Birmingham 1981 height 32mm
