Felixstowe Cottage Hospital,Nurses medal

A scarce Nurses medal from the Felistowe Cottage Hospital.I did originally think this may have been a non nursing/fundraising item but I have found evidence that the hospital did have train Probationers during the 1930s and so believe that this may date from around that time.It features a bronze Geneva Cross with a central design showing a shield bearing the Felistowe Town Crest,around which is the Hospital title.This is suspended from an original blue silk Ribbon which in turn hang from a bronze pin back bar brooch. Unmarked to rear .Condition good for it's age but ribbon shows some wear.Height 90mm
Unusual to see badges awarded for training in small institutions such as this.
