A scarce silver and enamel nurses badge from the Royal Edinburgh Hospital.The main mental hospital for the Lothian Region,originally called the Edinburgh Lunatic Asylum, the hospital opened in 1813.The badge features the motif of the castle gatehouse,with a hunting horn behind it.Enamel in good condition with minimal surface scratches.Pin,clasp and safety roller catch all in good order
