Claybury Hospital,Nurses Badge

Originally built as one of the London County Council Mental Asylums at Woodford Bridge in Essex the Hospital finally closed in 1997.This badge which features the distinctive water tower was issued in the 1950s and 60s,(the tower also features in the badges of the West Roding School of Nursing),In very good condition with enamel intact.Pin is present and working .Engraved for J.P. Grey June 1959 Makers marks for Thomas Fattorini Ltd Regent Street,Birmingham.Height 32mm
