Northampton General Hospital School of Nursing,Silver Nurses badge

A silver and enamel nurses badge from Northampton General Hospital School of Nursing from the 1960s.It consists of an enamelled shield in a voided centre,showing the red rose of Northamptonshire and the Lamp and open book of Learning.Around the rim,in silver on red enamel is Northampton General Hospital School of Nursing( this design of badge was issued in several different colour ways but I am unsure which branch of training this represents).Condition very good with only minor enamel damage.Pin,clasp and safety roller catch all in good order.Hallmarked for John Pinches,London 1968.Height 32mm
