An enamel badge for the Wolverhampton & Midland Counties Eye Infirmary.These were first awarded in 1966 and I believe this example dates to the 1980s.The design features symbols relevant to those areas served by the hospital,namely the Staffordshire Knot,Fruit tree of Worcestershire,Leopards head from the arms of Walsall and Padlock to commemorate the locksmith industry of Staffordshire.
In generally good condition ,some surface scratches.Pin,clasp and safety catch roller all intact.Makers mark Thomas Fattorini Regent Street Birmingham.Height 28mm
