Rochdale Infirmary & Dispensary,Nurses Gold Prize Medal pair
A Matched pair of badges /medals to the same nurse.The first item is a 9 carat gold Prize medal from the Rochdale Infirmary & Dispensary.In its own original wood and leather fitted presentation case with silk lining from W.L.Hardman Jeweller 48 Drake street Rochdale.The medal is suspended on a blue silk ribbon from an ornate pin back bar brooch.The medal bears an enamelled shield with the borough's crest with it's motto Credo Signo-Believe the Sign.It is hallmarked to the face WJD( William James Dingley) 9 carat gold Birmingham 1925 .The reverse bears "First in Senior Division: Dinah Smith 1925 Height 31mm Length 85mm Very good condition.
The second item is the matching Hospital School of Nursing badge for Rochdale Infirmary.Also in very good condition with pin and clasp good.The rear is engraved for D Smith Oct 22nd 1922 - Oct 22nd 1925.This lady is recorded in the GNC Register as SRN 70701 as being registered on November 24th 1933.Height 31mm
