Southampton University Hospitals,Bronze SEN Prize Badge

A scarce Prize badge from the Southampton University Hospitals,I believe from the 1970s.It consists of the standard Hampshire rose design shape In the centre of which are three symbols,a portcullis relating to Southamptons Bargate,The Ship taken from the badge of the RSH Hospital and the third which I believe relates to the New Forest. A similar badge design in coloured enamels was issued for SRN and SEN training in the early 70s and I was told by a tutor that these plain versions were prize badges. In good overall condition,pin and clasp good.Marked SEN to the rear. Height 31mm
