Victorian Cabinet Card Photograph,Nurse Alice Richardson June 1892
An early photographic,cabinet card size,portrait of a Victorian Nurse,named in pencil to the rear as being Alice Richardson,taken June 1892.Mounted on a Photographers card for Lock & Whitfield 178 Regent Street and Ealing.It shows the nurse posed in the style of the time,standing by an ornate chair holding a piece of paper.She is wearing an apron & cap with strings and a Nurses chatelaine can be seen suspended at her waist.The card is slightly bowed and shows signs of Fading and some Foxing.
I have identified one possible match who was a probationer at University College from Jan 1891 to Nov.1892 and went on to work at St Georges Hospital Bombay.108mm x 166mm
