Wimbledon & Nelson Hospitals School of Nursing,Silver Nurses Badge

A scarce silver and enamel Nurses badge from the Wimbledon & Nelson Hospitals School of Nursing.The design reflects the two emblems of the previously separate school Badges,the two headed eagle of Wimbledon & Nelson from Merton.The two hospitals had amalgamated their Schools of Nursing by the late 1950s and Wimbledon Hospital closed in 1983 so I believe this badge probably dates to the 1960s.In good overall condition with pin & clasp intact.Marked to rear Spink London Silver.Height 30mm Width 45mm
