State Certified Midwife Badge,Pin back badge

One of two variations of a State Certified Midwife Badge to the same Midwife from the 1920s. This is a pin back version of the large base metal badge which features Juno Lucino,the Goddess of Childbirth.She holds a baby in the palm of her right hand and a staff in her left.The title State Certified Midwife appears to the rim on a blue enamel border.Condition is generally good for its age.Pin and clasp are intact.Makers mark and registration number to the rear of Thomas Fattorini Ltd Regent Street Birmingham.Engraved for G Jones 63869 9.8.24( this is a Gladys Jones,shown on the Midwives Roll as living in Oswestry,Shropshire.)
