Brockhall Hospital Blackburn,Nurses Badge.

A small enamel nurses badge for the Brockhall Hospital.This was originally opened as an Inebriate Women's Reformatory but later became a Learning Disabilities Hospital before it's closure in 1992.
The badge features a shield bearing an unidentified coat of arms topped by an open book and lamp of learning.The hospital title is on a blue enamel border to the edge.Good condition with pin,clasp and safety roller catch all good.Makers mark for Fattorini & Sons 36 Barr St B'Ham(This dates this to between 1962 and 1967).Height 27mm
