Local Government Board For Scotland,Silver Fever Nurses Badge

Established in 1894,the Local Government Board was in some respect the equivalent of the Metropolitan Asylum Board in Scotland.This badge was issued for Nurse's trained under the supervision of the Board.The design features a white enamel Moline Cross,edged in blue in a voided centre.To the centre of the cross is a blue diamond with two entwined C's.On the silver band around the edge is 'Local Government Board for Scotland'
Condition good with pin and clasp good.Engraved to the rear Nurse Margaret H Mc Figgans Fever Nurse Training 1918.Silver Hallmarks for B&S Birmingham 1917.This is Margaret Horne Mc Figgans of Dunfermline,who is shown as registered in the Scottish Register as Fever nurse E 5333 gaining her SB of H Certificate on 28/12/18.Height 32mm
