London County Council,St Olave's Hospital,Silver Nurses badge

Another of the the popular London County Council Hospital Nurses badges issued between 1930 and 1948.This one is for St Olave's Hospital at Rotherhithe.The Hospital suffered considerably during the Blitz and by V1 and V2 rockets.The hospital was also where Sir Michael Caine was born!
The badge features the blue enamelled cross with central shield bearing the LCC crest.There is minor damage to the arms of the cross,particularly a chip to the top left arm.The crest has lost some enamel to the river symbol.The pin has been replaced with a temporary fitting.Silver hallmarks for Fattorini & Sons,Birmingham 1930.
