Worthing Hospital,Silver Nurses Prize Medal

A fine silver Nurses prize medal from Worthing Hospital from the 1960s.A large and heavy silver pendant medal in the same design as the more usual brass or enamelled versions.It features a central Torch of Learning upon a Geneva cross with the motto Unbounded Courage and Compassion Join'd.This is suspended from a pin back bar brooch bearing the title Worthing Hospital.The rear is engraved for Rosine Street,Presented by Mr E Manley Bird 1964.Hallmarked for the Birmingham Badge & Medal company,Birmingham 1963 Height 55mm
