Horton Hospital Banbury,Nurses Badge

A bronze nurses pendant badge fro the Horton Hospital in Banbury Oxfordshire.The badge features the Banbury Cross,which was erected in 1859,flanked by two nurses each bearing a flaming lamp.The motto "Perseverantia Palman Obtenebit"-Perseverance wins the Prize appears at the bottom.Condition is good although the suspension bar brooch has had a knock.Pin and clasp is intact but loose.Marked to the rear ;Mr D Donovan 1961-64 Height 50mm
