Central Middlesex Hospital,Silver Nurses Badge
A silver and enamel Nurses pendant badge from the Central Middlesex Hospital.This is one of a series which were issued by the Central Middlesex Group Hospital Management Committee for the hospitals in the group with differently named bars.These included the Central Middlesex,Willesden General,Neasden,St Monica's and Leamington Park Hospitals.
The badge consists of a white greek cross with an imposed red enamelled shield bearing intertwined initials of CM with the group title to a blue enamel band around the rim.The blue enamelled pin back suspension bar brooch bears the hospital title which in this case is the Central Middlesex. Condition is generally good although there are several chips to the enamel.The pin and clasp are in good order.Engraved to the rear B.H.O.Morgan October 1968.The medal is hallmarked silver for John Pinches,London 1966 Height 47mm
