South Lincolnshire School of Nursing,Silver Nurses Badge

A silver and enamel Nurses badge from the South Lincolnshire School of Nursing which I believe is for Enrolled Nurse Training.The School was based in Boston and was in operation in the late 1970s and early 1980s.The central design features a shield bearing the arms of Lincolnshire,which were granted in 1977.The blue line represents the many rivers and coastline of the county,the diagonal band the Roman road Ermine Street which runs through Lincolnshire.The Fleur de Lys are taken from the arms of Lincoln.
Condition is good although there are some enamel chips around the edge and several surface scratches.The pin,clasp and safety roller catch are good although slightly bent.Makers mark for Thomas Fattorini Regent Street Birmingham.Hallmarks for TF Birmingham 1983.Height 32mm
